Desde que era un niño, los cómics y películas eran mi pasión. De hecho, creo que estoy interesado en cualquier tipo de expresión artística. Admiro profundamente a los grandes artistas de cómics americanos, como Harold Foster, John Buscema, John Byrne, Neal Adams, así como a nuevos artistas como Adam Hughes, Mike Mignola, Rick Leonardi, Carlos Pacheco, Jae Lee o Tim Sale. Pero, realmente, crecí con Tintín, Astérix, Lucky Luke, Spirou o los Pitufos. Y, sobre todo, con artistas de nuestros tebeos, que me enseñaron la base de scriptting, bocetar o entintar. Tengo especial cariño por Francisco Ibáñez y Jan, quienes crearon los personajes más queridos de mi infancia: Mortadelo y Filemón, y Superlópez. En la literatura, he optado por los clásicos franceses, como Alexandre Dumas y Víctor Hugo. La trilogía D'Artagnan es, probablemente, la mayor aventura jamás escrita. Entre los escritores contemporáneos, me gusta George R.R. Martin, Douglas Preston y Lincoln Child, Susanne Clarke, y especialmente Orson Scott Card, por su estilo limpio y la profundidad de sus historias. Y estoy profundamente impresionado por la historia Kwothe por Patrick Rothfuss. Como todo el mundo, también me gustan las películas. Cuando tenía tres años, mi padre me llevó al cine de barrio a ver Star Wars en pantalla grande, la cual me impresionó profundamente. Esa película marcó mi vida de muchas maneras, y desde entonces he sido un gran fan de la saga, y de la ciencia ficción en general. ¡Creo que las películas de los años 80 fueron geniales! En consecuencia, las bandas sonoras siempre me han fascinado. Autores como John Williams, Ennio Morricone, Jerry Goldsmith, James Horner, John Barry, Bruce Broughton y Patrick Doyle son mis ídolos musicales. Since I was a child, comic-books and movies were my passion. Indeed, I think I’m keen on any kind of artistic expression. I deeply admire the great American comic-book artists, such as Harold Foster, John Buscema, John Byrne, Neal Adams, as well as artist like Adam Hughes, Mike Mignola, Rick Leonardi, Carlos Pacheco, Jae Lee or Tim Sale. But, I grew up with Tintin, Asterix, Lucky Luke, Spirou or the Smurfs. And, especially, with Spanish comic (known here as “tebeos”) artists, who taught me the basis of scriptting, sketching or inking. I have also special fondness for Francisco Ibáñez and Jan, who created the most beloved characters of my childhood: Mortadelo y Filemón, and Superlópez. In literature, I opted for the French classics, such as Alexandre Dumas and Victor Hugo. The D'Artagnan trilogy are, probably, the greatest adventure ever written. Among contemporary writers, I like George R. R. Martin, Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child, Susanne Clarke, and especially Orson Scott Card, for his clean style and the depth of his stories. And I'm deeply impressed by the Kwothe story by Patrick Rothfuss. As everyone, I also like movies. I was took to the cinema by my father to see Star Wars on big screen when I was three, and it made a deep impression on me. That film marked my life in many ways, and since then I've been a huge fan of the saga, and of sci-fi in general. I think that 80's movies were great! Hence, the soundtracks have always fascinated me. Authors such as John Williams, Ennio Morricone, Jerry Goldsmith, James Horner, John Barry, Bruce Broughton and Patrick Doyle are my musical idols. Mais, je ai grandi avec Tintin, Astérix, Lucky Luke, Spirou ou les Schtroumpfs. Et, surtout, avec bande dessinée espagnole (appelée ici "tebeos»), les artistes qui me ont appris la base de scriptting, croquis ou encrage. Je ai aussi prédilection particulière pour Francisco Ibáñez et Jan, qui a créé les personnages les plus aimés de mon enfance: Mortadelo y Filemón et Superlópez. Dans la littérature, je ai opté pour les classiques français tels que Alexandre Dumas et Victor Hugo. La trilogie d'Artagnan sont, sans doute, la plus grande aventure jamais écrit.
